sorry if this post will be the chat with ‘immu‘, my first finnish friend. we have known each other from hospitality club since the end of last year. we went to see movie tonight because immu is an artist, and i really need his comment on thai film.
it’s ‘love of siam’, kind of teenagers movie. the feeling after the movie is the same as ‘love actually’. the different is only it has the element of ‘gay’. this movie is the talk of the town right now.
immu didn’t like the second half of the movie, he said this before we departed. actually, me niether. the story line is not that attractive enough. but i try to understand both immu and the director.
maybe this is an asian way of love. that’s why the movie title is like that. for me the first half represented what all the actors thought and showed out. everyone got his/her own problem, and all of them tried to make people see them. so, sometimes in the chaos of life, we don’t even know who we are. like when ‘tong’ cried out in the middle of the film , ‘what am i?’
but the second half the problems seem gradually resolved by someone has to first start ‘giving up’. it’s like the domino effect. it’s like the things will come into the right track when someone just give away love. and this half is matched to the time in the film, christmas, which means the time of giving.
hmm.. i think i wanna say in details more. so, will come back to edit some later.
almost forget, i like the ost of this movie a lot.
